This paper mainly researched functional cellulose materials of cellulose/AgNPs films and cellulose/PVP hydrogels. Cellulose is the most impotant chemical materials because of the biodegradation, non-toxic, non-pollution, good biocompatibility, easy to chemical modification. Now cellulose has been widely applied in many fields, e. g. industry products, cosmetics plants, food packaging, biomedical industry. But cellulose is difficult to be dissolved by deionized water and common organic solvents, it hindered development of the industrialization effectively. In our work, it focused on construction of functional cellulose materials like cellulose/PVP hydrogels and cellulose/AgNPs films by using NaOH/urea/H20 (7/12/81, wt%). This solvent is called "Green Solvent".The primary content and conclusion of this work can be divided into two parts.AgNPs is a kind of particle size of nano-scale, its physical and chemical properties are stable. AgNPs were synthesized by traditional method with polyvinyl pyrrolidone (PVP). as the stabilizer. Because of the hydrogen-bond between cellulose and PVP, AgNPs existed stably in the films. The structure of AgNPs and cellulose/AgNPs films were characterized by UV-vis absorption spectra, transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and solid state 13C CP/MAS NMR. Cellulose/AgNPs films exhibited good mechanical properties with tensile strength of 62MPa. Cellulose/AgNPs films also showed strong antibacterial activity, the sterilization rate against Escherichia coli was up to 99%.PVP is a kind of polymer with good solubleness, high swelling ratio态 moisture retention capability,biocompatibility,adsorbability, surface activity, stability of high temperature and acid environment, have been used widely in industries of consmetic, food packing, pharmaceuticals, textile, electronic, cross-linking agent, coating, photographic materials and so on. The works based on the excellent properties of PVP and cellulose. The cellulose/PVP hydrogels that have different concentrations of PVP and cellulose were prepard by chemical cross-linking with ECH. The structure and properties of the cellulose/PVP hydrogels were characterized by moisture retention capability, swelling ratio, solid state 13C CP/MAS NMR. The correlation of struture and properties was studied and functional cellulose/PVP hydrogels. We prepared to evaluate their potential applications.
