Tire mold is used for molding all kinds of tires, the result of drilling is also related to the quality and performance of the tire.With the development of manufacturing and machining technology, tire mold drilling technology is developing quickly.especially, the technology of the minor and deep holes drilling of tire mold is always one of the most difficult problems in the tire mould drilling, compared with the traditional deep hole drilling,the diameter of holes is smaller, the length of holes is longer, the vibration of tool is frequent during drilling process and the drilling condition is difficult to observe, etc.In this paper, according to the minor and deep holes of tire mold drillinging process in the comprehensive research, we chose a twist drill, the mould of alloy steel material the minor and deep holes of tire mold test, according to the requirements in the process of deep hole drilling process, it used drilling tool force control of feed detection and take the control methods of the scheme, at the same time, considering the drilling processing in the process of vibration, butterworth IIR digital filter was applied to the drilling control process, we designed the system of the minor and deep holes drilling of tire mold, the main contents and major findings are as following:In this paper,i introduced the characteristics of the minor and deep holes of tire mold drilling and the industry of the deep hole drilling briefly, i also analysed the development trend of the deep hole drilling technology, at the same time, because the drilling situation is difficult to observe, digital filter is applied to the drilling control system, it proposed the tool force control and has the intelligent control scheme of the real-time testing of the drilling environment.Based on the drilling process, structure and parameters of cutting tool, we established the tire mold mechanics model of deep hole drilling, designed the CNC system of the minor and deep hole drilling of tire mold.Through the experiments were comprehensive, the system fully meet the requirements of drilling accuracy and efficiency of the system.This study achieves the minor and deep hole drilling of tire mold, improves the performance of machining platform of the minor and deep hole drilling of tire mold, at the same time,it can protect the tool,and prevent the lost in the drilling such as interference factors, to ensure the reliability of the drilling process, reduce the loss, maximizing the efficiency of production and economic benefits.
