The waste heat boiler, as a key equipment of heat recovery, has enjoyed rapid development in the past few decades. However, with the improvement of the non-ferrous metallurgical ability, the requirement for the parameters and the capacity of the waste heat boiler has become more strict. Meanwhile, in terms of energy utilization, China is far behind the international advanced level. Therefore, it is necessary to study waste heat boiler deeply.By building the test bench of waste heat boiler, this paper finds out the effect of heat source temperature on the steam production of the boiler, the relationship between feed water and steam production, and the dynamic response of the boiler, which is significant for the adjustment of waste heat boiler.By simulation of full size waste heat boiler, this paper gets the complete velocity field and temperature field inside the boiler, and finds out the effect of heat source temperature and amount of gas on surface heat transfer coefficient, pressure drop and overall performance, which provides reference for the improvement of the waste heat boiler.By simulation of the new heat exchanger, this paper finds out the effect of heat source temperature and amount of gas on surface heat transfer coefficient, pressure drop and overall performance, which is helpful in solving the conflict between heat transfer and fouling.
