Active measurement,dynamic balance, monitoring of grinding process are the three major components of the modern grinding monitoring & controlling system.With the above three approaches,grinding precision,grinding efficiency and safety of the CNC grinding machine can be improved.Due to the high speed grinding between grinding wheel and workpiece,the high frequency AE(acoustic emission) signal produce in grinding process.It’s becomes very appropriate to monitor the grinding process through acoustic emission technology.The key technologies of the grinding online monitoring system based on AE are involved in this paper.And on this basis,implementation methods of key technologies are studied.At last,the feasibility and effectiveness of them are confirmed by experiments.The major research contents of this paper are as follows:First,According to the functionality requires of the grinding online monitoring system,the design scheme is confirmed:Build the grinding online monitoring simulation system based on AE by Labview;The FPGA+IPC development schema of grinding online monitoring system which is used in the actual machining is proposed.Then,Carry out research on the key technologies of the grinding online monitoring system based on AE.(1) Grinding AE signal analysis and processing technology.The main characteristics grinding AE signal and noise signal are analyzed.Segment filter technology is put forward to increase fitness when grinding different materials workpieces.The proper feature parametric of AE signal is selected as the strength of AE signal.(2) Carry out research on self-learning states judgement technology in grinding. Refer to the whole grinding cycle,the implementation of grinding states judgement is put forward. Self-learning pattern is designed to improve signal-noise ratio.Contact limit value and crash limit value can be determined through self-learning pattern.At last,program design and experimental analysis of the grinding online monitoring system based on AE by Labview.All the modules of the grinding onlinemonitoring system such as data acquisition,filtering,states judgement are completed by Labview.Through dual thread in which one thread is responsible for AE signal acquisition,another thread is responsible for AE signal processing and states judgement,two dual thread methods are presented.The feasibility and correctness of the key technologies of grinding online monitoring system based on AE are confirmed through experiment.At the same time,segment filter programs of grinding online monitoring system which is used in the actual machining are written through VHDL which is a kind of hardware description languages.Accuracy and real-time performance of the segment filter programs based on FPGA are confirmed by experiment.Based on the research on the structures of real-time monitoring of grinding,this paper focuses on the key technologies of the grinding online monitoring system.Program design and experimental analysis of the grinding online monitoring simulation system based on AE by Labview.Industry application oriented,The key filter programs and experiments of the FPGA+IPC grinding online monitoring system are performed.
