water flooding yielded a great production rate in Maojiahe block of Zibei oilfield. However, problems of both areal and vertical arise with time passing by, which leads to poor water flooding effect, increasing water cut, dispersed residual oil and hard maintained plateau. For the huge amount of remaining oil, it is necessary to establish a treatment scheme to improve recovery factor. After analyzing the geological and reservoir character of the oilfield, the adaptability of well pattern and water flooding schedule are put into analysis. Then, factors like injection rate, water absorbing ability and corresponding production well indexes are calculated for specific wells and well groups. At last, with predicting indexes like RF and MOIP, the whole block injection condition was analyzed.Study show that Maojiahe demonstrating block yields character of low-ultralow porosity and permeability. Meanwhile, the Chang 6 reservoir shows week velocity sensitivity, weak salinity sensitivity, medium water sensitivity, medium acid sensitivity, weak-medium alkali sensitivity and weak-medium stress sensitivity. Research also shows that with complete well pattern, advanced water injection could enhance recovery factor.
