The axial type cyclone densander is a kind of sand removal device, which is used to realize gas-solid separation through centrifugal force produced by fluid. At present, the hydrocyclone separation technology has been widely used in coal, refinery, oil-gas field, thermal system and other fields. The axial cyclone desander, as a type of mechanical separation equipment, has some advantages as follows: energy-saving, simple structure, high separation efficiency. But this research in china starts late with a short history, and this technology not yet mature, so it is less to be applied in the field. Based on above mentioned problems, in this paper, the numerical simulation for desanding efficiency of axial type cyclone densander is carried out by using fluent soft. These specific steps are as follows:(1) First, establish the axial cyclone densand model to simulate the single-phase flow of gas. Based on the anisotropic turbulent model(RSM), the numerical simulation is conducted by using the QUICK difference scheme and corresponding PRESTO pressure interpolation format.(2) Simulate the gas-solid fluid in the cyclone. Solid particles in the cyclone separator was simulated by adopting dispersed phased stochastic trajectory model and phase coupling method. By analyzing above research, the influences of particle trajectory, inlet velocity and concentration on separation efficiency.(3) The effect of straight spiral blade screw number on the separation efficiency is also be researched. And this influence rule of the axial cyclone structure parameters on separation efficiency to provide theoretical basis for practical application.
