The Design On Automatic Measurement And Control System Of Electromagnetic Eddy Current Brake

In recent years, the electromagnetic eddy current brake is widely used in the field of petroleum rig because of its good braking performance. It is more and more important to study the performance test of electromagnetic eddy current brake to ensure that the comprehensive performance of electromagnetic eddy current brake can meet the requirements. This paper designs the automatic measurement and control system of eddy current brake with fully test functions and high automatization through the analysis and comparison based on the domestic development status of the test device of electromagnetic eddy current brake.The overall scheme of the automatic measurement and control system of eddy current brake is demonstrated and designed on the basis of researching the function and parameter of electromagnetic eddy current brake. The mechanical structure parts is mainly composed of the base, lift bench, lengthways translation bench and horizontal translation bench and so on, which can adapt to various types of electromagnetic eddy current brake to center automatically and test. The mechanical drive part is mainly composed of dc motor, reducer, coupling and so on to ensure that electromagnetic eddy current brake can the work normally. The system chose the measurement and control instruments with good performance to guarantee that it can examine each performance data effectively. In this paper, it used the Lab VIEW software development tools to write program of system control and test procedure, which can improve effectively the efficiency of programming based on the idea of modular design. The design and building of this project system is complete, which can provide an experimental basis for the comprehensive performance test of electromagnetic eddy current brake.
