Vortex Spinning,which is a new technology of spinning developes on the basis of the trend, and the development potential of Vortex Spinning is more and more enormous. It uses high-speed airflow generated in a nozzle inserted into the twisted yarn.the Nozzle is an important part of the Vortex Spinning.Fiber has high flexibility and large aspect ratio interaets with high-speed air flow field inside the nozzle.The researching on Vortex Spinning already has progressed, but there is still a large gap between the domestic Vortex Spinning and foreign advanced equipments. The main reason is that we study on the dynamies of the fiber in the airflow inside the nozzle of Vortex Spinning is too little, and the core technology has not been mastered.Based on the instructor’s national fund project (51205363), this paper uses high-power optical microscope (KEYENCE VHX-2000) to observe the cotton fiber and studies its microstructure characteristics. The main microstructure features of cotton fiber is concluded that some cotton fiber is the structure of ribbon, some is the reverse which the structure is the shape of C. Using the microscope system to measure and statist the random of cotton fiber, the result shows that in the total length of cotton fiber, the tubular structure accounts for about 70%, and the structure of ribbon accounts for about 30%. This paper analyzes the characteristics of the cotton fiber, and establishes a new model of cotton fiber which is slender, and having double-layer, multiple-class.In this paper, the twisting machine of Vortex Spinning is being used as the study object. Based on the mechanism of the twisting yarn. This paper analyzes the characteristics and the movement theory of airflow in the twisting machine, and uses the software of SolidWorks2013 to modle the nozzle of the Vortex Spinning, and uses the software of Fluent to complete the number simulation. By changing the parameters of twisting machine to observe the changing of the basin, and predicts the movement trend of the model, to provide the textile technology and the theoretical reference in the research involving the movement of cotton fiber in vortex field.
