This project mainly focus on and give feasibility of zero release technology on rare earth flotation tailing, through the test, process planning, analysis and investment estimation. The mineral is Quartz barite carbonate rare earth deposit. The rare earth mineral is bastnaesite fluorocarbon calcium cerium ore, including minor Cerium apatite and monazite. Gangue minerals are mainly calcite, quartz, dolomite, and associated with small amounts of fluorite and barite. It is the rare earth mineral process plan that 3%-4% of the crude ore is concentrated to the rare earth concentrate which contains 45% Rare earth oxides(REO). The rare earth mineral tailings contains barite, fluorite and sulfide which does not meet the requirements of industrial grade. Thus the tailings is not recycled and lead to resource waste. The rare earth mine adopts Flotation separating process to get rare concentration. The crude ore will adopt the process of crushing, grinding, flotation, and dehydrating to get rare concentrate which consists of 45% REO, the yield of 6.85% and the rare earth tailings. Nowadays, this rare earth mine capacity is 110000 t per year. Tailings capacity is 102500 t per year, among of which 630001 tailings is filled in the underground mined-out area, the other 400001 tailings will be piled on storage after enrichment. As the tailings emissions increased year by year, the huge piles of tailings caused the Environmental pollution and ecological destruction, safety accident and occupation of land, which has become serious society problem. The piled tailings can be recycled and become the new type raw material of buildings under the technology. This project mainly do the research on comprehensive usage of rare earth mineral with the consideration of economic benefits and environment protection. Basis on the test and market research and feasibility studies, this project provide the solution of mutual benefits of economic benefits and environment protection to realize the zero release of rare earth tailings.
