The Traditional Catering Appliance Design Research Of Ethnic Minorities Of Wa In Yunnan

Minority traditional culture, as the precious resources of ethnic minority groups, but also a valuable resource of the whole human society. Although the existing research on Design of contemporary minority has many achievements, but still exists many problems, in which the number of the southwest border of Yunnan minority population is the lack of discussion of the design is rarely sufficient research. At the same time, the research object design of these minorities are seldom involved, and their social background and the composition of the population is so special, at the same time,these groups in urgent need of their own cultural identity is understood.Culture of Wa nationality customs and design creation have always maintained a simple style of the original, because of the remote location, traffic inconvenience,makes the Wa and other ethnic groups rarely communicates, but also because of these reasons make wa culture maintained relatively primitive style. Wa People’s production and life is very simple and original creation culture, mode of production level is low, agriculture and handicraft industry appliances and rude, living appliances and utensils design and manufacture are generally tends to be concise,and make full use of the natural environmental factors, turn material resources to good account, suitable material and made.The author of this paper from the data based on the field survey of the southwest border of Yunnan, analyzes the unique regional characteristics of Wa, including the natural environment and historical development. Through the traditional dining utensils for daily use of Wa people were sorted, classified into five categories, and five kinds of objects were sampled according to the shooting, other features of drawing type map, and from the function, material and decoration and other aspects.Through the research on the catering appliances interviewed life present situation of wa area residents and the investigation questionnaire, in-depth understanding of religious beliefs and cultural connotation of the Wa nationality tradition from generation to generation. Through the analysis and Research on different daily life situations wa catering to conclude.This paper outlines the basic features of the traditional catering equipment of wa, and the creation of traditional design culture of perceptual knowledge and the rational explanation, further a wa area, through the observation of the usual way of life and daily dining scene, natural condition decides the survival mode, life style of design, the influence of cultural context use situation cognitive, and attempts to summarize the basic thinking and design method of the design of creation.
