Hypereutectic Al-Si alloy which has light quality, good strength, high specific strength and other excellent properties, is widely used in industry. With the increase of the silicon content, bulky hard primary silicon texture produced in the structure, had seriously cut the matrix apart and limited the processing and performance of material. The effective way of solving the limit is to intervene in the melt in the processing of casting to achieve the goal of refining bulky hard primary silicon texture. There are two samples in the experiment, and the first group of samples was handled according to the conventional melt treatment process, the the second group of samples was handled in the same process, but the melt was mixed with the middle refining agent(Ti B2 0.4%).Then, we conducted the microstructure test and found the surface changes of the first group of samples and the second group of samples. We made the cutting processing test so as to research the cutting processing performance of two samples and the ABAQUS was used to analyse the change rule of the cutting performance. The microstructure test of two samples show that the processing technic have the effect on the sample surface and there are the detailed description of the refine principle of the middle refining agent(Ti B2 0.4%).The cutting processing test present that the fluctuating rule of the cutting force of the two samples and the reason of the wave of the cutting force of the first group of samples. The single factor test of two samples clarify the relation between the spindle speed and other factors, such as the cutting force and feed rate and the milling depth and width. There was a simulation analysis of cutting temperature, mises force and the cutting force by using the ABAQUS. The microstructure test of the cutting chip state that the relation of the bulky hard primary silicon and tool wear form. And it shows that the tool wear form of the first group of samples is adhesion wear and abrasive wear, but the main tool wear form of the second group of samples is abrasive wear. Besides, the test helped us find that the bulky hard primary silicon how to affect the machining surface quality and the forming mechanism of the cutting chips. It also shows the relation of the cutting wear and the cutting time, and the cuttings were conducted in the same condition.
