The high-speed machining dramatically increase production efficiency and reduce the processing cost. In Cutting process,cutting force,the internal stress of workpieces and thermal deformation is small, workpiece temperature is low, so can improvement of the machining accuracy and surface quality.It can process hardened steel etc difficult-to-machine materials.The high-speed machining as one of advanced manufacturing technology has been widely used in aerospace, automotive,mould and other fields.Hardened steel is a kind of typical difficult-to-machine materials,high hardness and strength, widely used in hardness&abrasion resistance of the high demand parts.High-speed machining hardened steel cutting force when unit, cutting tools, cutting impact high temperature.Experimental study of hardware more demanding, high cost and low efficiency, vulnerable to environmental impact. Along with the development of technology,using finite element analysis and computer simulation of metal cutting process is more and more common.This paper using large-scale finite element, using ABAQUS software Johnson-Cook material model a simplified 2d orthogonal cutting simulation model, the high speed cutting hardened steel scraps of jagged when forming process.Through the simulation get scraps shape and cutting force and comparative tests to verify the validity of the model.Comparing carbide cutting tools, coated tools and PCBN tool in high-speed cutting condition, cutting force and cutting temperature.The most appropriate PCBN tool hardening of 45 steel cutting machining.Simulation PCBN tool in different cutting parameters and the cutting tool parameters under the condition of high speed cutting hardened 45 steel process, analysis of cutting parameter and the cutting tool parameters on cutting force and cutting the influence of the temperature of rule.Research shows that cutting depth increases, cutting force and tool maximum equivalent stress increases a lot, so too large,take easy cutting depth 0.2 mm relatively appropriate;Cutting tools before cutting force and cutting Angle on the influence of the temperature of bigger, take-4°relatively appropriate;Cutting speed increase and cutting force, the maximum equivalent stress, cutting tool temperature increase much, but using high cutting speed.
