With the widely application of crystal materials and the rapid development of micro mechanical manufacturing technology, micro mechanical processing method of crystal materials shows more advantages than the traditional processing method in every way. In the field of micro mechanical manufacture, given that the micro-grinding can obtain nanoscale surface roughness, more and more attention has been paid to it.Based on the comprehensive analysis of domestic and foreign research situation on the field of micro-grinding,processing experiment of crystal materials was made by micro-grinding, and the mechanism of micro-grinding process were studied,which has certain theoretical and practical significance to the development of micro-grinding technology of crystal materials.At first, a brief overview to the micro mechanicl manufacturing technology and micro mechanical processing of crystal materials was carried,and the research status at home and abroad in the field of micro-grinding was analyzed and discussed,which contains tool equipment and processing mechanism, and concluded the necessity to further research on the field of micro-grinding.Then, on the promise of understanding domestic and foreign micro-grinding mechanism,the critical condition of brittle-ductile transition in the process of micro-grinding was analyzed under the dynamic condition.Combined with the assumption of uniform distribution on undeformed chip thickness,the formula for calculating the average undeformed chip thickness was obtained.And the introduction of elastic recovery height helped updating the mathematic model of micro-grinding force.After that, it focused on micro-grinding experimental study of optical glass and single-mode fiber which are typical crystal materials.In view of the experiment of optical glass,the material removal model expressed in the quality was established,and the model was validated by the experimental results.Then the surface topography of optical glass after micro-grinding was observed,the influence law of micro-grinding parameters to material removal rate and surface roughness was discussed.For the micro-grinding experiment of single mode fiber, inclined plane optical fiber lens of 40°、45° and the cone optical fiber lens of 60°、100° were processed,and the influence law of micro-grinding parameters on surface quality of optical lens was revealed, which provided the basis for the parameter optimization of the micro-grinding optical fiber lens.Finally, the main conclusions of this subject were summarized,the deficiency and problems during the research of subject were proposed,and some recommendations and prospects were put forward.
