At present, energy resources’ situation of China shows "rich coal, less oil, lean gas", so it is urgent to develop new clean energy sources. As a new technology carbonization of coal has received the rapid development at home and abroad in recent years, in particular making use of low rank coal carbonization technology to extract coal tar, carbocoal, coal gas, which is typical ladder use of energy, and can obtain great economic benefits. Therefore, it is profound meaning for the future development of coal chemical industry in C hina to explore the research of coal carbonization’s new technology and new equipment.According to current domestic situation, we invent the internal heat and rotary low temperature carbonization technology for less than 10 mm coal, designed to extract the coal tar of low rank, and to generate diesel, gasoline and other quality products by hydrogenation catalytic. This technology has implemented in Yilan region in Heilongjiang province for 10t/h coal carbonization project, the core parts include coal pre-treatment, pyrolysis, exhaust dust, separating, washing process, to make use of 600~800℃ low-temperature carbonization technology, we analyze influence of coal pre-treatment for coal carbonization and research structure and process parameters of internal heat and rotary carbonization furnace. Research secondary exhaust dust process, calculate particle size of primary settling room dusting, analyze principle and structure of cyclone dust system, and numerical simulate cyclone monomer, then observe the theoretical separation effect. Finally, research the washing separation principle and process structure of the project, to invent taking exhaust multi-stage cycle, flash, condensation and separation into the scrubbing tower.The results show that the low-temperature internal heat and rotary carbonization technology for brown coal reaches innovative and practical purpose. Meanwhile, it solves the core problems of coal carbonization process in engineering, improves the efficiency of coal pyrolysis, reduces coal entrainment in exhaust, enhances the quality of coal tar, and increases the yield of coal tar, therefore it is a viable and reliable coal carbonization technology.
