The Research On Natural Disasters Emergency Information Management Based On Electronic Government

Nowadays, all countries attach great importance to the response to frequent natural disasters which bring a great threat to the human society. The Chinese government and communities pay more attention to the emergency management of natural disasters since the21st century. With the deepening of the research on disaster emergency management, a number of researchers recognized the significance of information in the whole process of disaster emergency management and the disaster emergency management is essentially about the management of disaster emergency information. Before the disaster, the collection and dissemination of disaster monitoring and warning information could support the prevention of natural disasters. In disaster response phase, the sharing of multiple disaster emergency information resources could help to break down the barriers between the departments and regions and improve the disaster emergency cooperation. In disaster recovery phase, hazard assessment information could be helpful in after-disaster reconstruction, the valuable experience gained could also be useful in future emergency management. Because of the significance of natural disaster emergency information, it is inevitable to find out the scientific and effective way in disaster emergency information management.Against the background of the rapid development of electronic government in our country, this paper undertake a study of the natural disaster emergency information management. This paper analyzes the relationship between electronic government and disaster emergency information management, investigates the status of our emergency information system and resource utilization and existed problems, proposes several suggestions on how to improve our disaster emergency information management in the environment of electronic government, in order to provide effective help for our disaster emergency management.
