The frog element is a kind of design that has the Chinese nationalculture characteristics and it connects with the functions of practicalsand decoration. In terms of practical functions, it is as forms of buttonin the garments and presents as the demands of garment structures.In termsof decoration, the frog displays the infinite creative power in Chinesecivilization due to its numerous styles, continuous performance andcomplicated grafting.The frog also named by buttons,is one kinds ofancient Chinese knot. Ancient people wear the long sleeve to tie theloose costume. After Yuan and Ming dynasty, the frog is instead of it toconnect the border. Fabric bands wove to all kinds of patterns, which isso called discoid flowers. The process of frog shape in changes is to sayan epitome of acknowledgment and evolution of the garment details and asign of Chinese traditional culture as well.Currently with the increasing online consumption and development ofonline shopping platforms and the rising D2C mode, the internet garmentdesign brands are to be spring up like mushrooms.More and more garmentdesigners are to create their own brands by internet platforms and to showtheir designs and to sell their products.Many of them prefer to designingnational style collections, therefore, there is of traditional andcultural elements in garments, such as cloud pattern, blue and whiteporcelain, blue cloth with design in white and lucky words etc. The frogelement is one of the choices by the internet garment designers.However, the author finds out that the application of the frog is tobe simple. After reading the books and document literature, I find thecorrespondence of its theory and application is mismatching. Especiallyby the influence of modern fashion trend, it is very important to use thefrog well which is to fit the appreciation of beauty.
