In this paper, several novel1,2,4-diazaphospholide-basedcomplexes invoving lanthanide, transition metal, and alkaline earthmetal ions are briefly described. All compounds were characterizedby IR, NMR spectroscopy, and X-Ray single crystal diffractionananlysis.1. By the reaction of [3,5-tBu2dp]K and YCl3, two1,2,4-diazaphospholide yttrium compounds (1,2) were prepared.Similarily, a dysprosium1,2,4-diazaphospholide (3) was alsoprepared by the reaction of [3,5-tBu2dp]K and DyCl3.2. By the reaction of [3,5-tBu2dp]K and CrCl2, a1,2,4-diazaphospholide chromium (II) complex (4) with Cr-Crsingle bond was prepared, which is paramagnetism confirmed byEPR. The reduction of4with potassium afforded achromium(II)–potassium ate complex (5). By the reaction of2,6-bis(1,2,4-diazaphosphol-1-yl)pyridine and CrCl3, a planar [2,6-bis(1,2,4-diazaphosphol-1-yl)pyridine]chromium trichloride (6)was prepared.3. The reaction of H[3,5-tBu2dp] and metal calcium, strontiumsmoothly produced two homoleptic1,2,4-diazaphospholidecalcium and strontium complexes (7,8).
