Five-membered heterocyclic1,2,4-diazaphospholide ligandsplayed an important role in the preparation of organometalliccomplexes. This article is based on1-H-1,2,4-diazaphospholide andits derivatives to synthesize seven novel metal complexes. All ofcomplexes have been fully characterized:1. The reaction of3,5-disubstituted-1,2,4-diazaphospholide andnickle dibromide in a molar ratio of3:1or2:1gave complexes[Ni(3,5-tBu2dp)3]―K+(THF)6and [Ni(3,5-tBu2dp)]2.2. The reaction of2,6-bis(1,2,4-diazaphosphol-1-yl)pyridine withnikcle dibromide afforded complex [(2,6-dp2)pyNiBr]+Br―(EtOH)2.3. The reaction of [Cp*NiBr]2with potassium3,5-di-phenyl-1,2,4-diazaphospholide produced a tetramer[Cp*Ni(3,5-Ph2dp)]4.4. The reaction of3,5-di-substituted-1,2,4-diazaphospholidepotassium and gemanium dichloride give a novel compoundGeK[3,5-tBu2dp]3(toluene).5. Two germanon and stannon M3[3,5-tBu2dp]4O (M=Ge,Sn) wereprepared by the reaction of3,5-di-substituted-1H-1,2,4-diazaphospholes and M[N(SiMe3)2]2in the presence of small amount of moisture.
