The pterocarya stenoptera C.DC. is juglandaceae plants of the genus Chinese beech, and has many alias such as Ping Liu, Ma Liu, Shui Ma Liu, Wu Gong Liu and so on. The plants pterocarya stenoptera C.DC like light and are widely distributed in the south of the Yellow River basin. In the ancient of our Chinese, pterocarya stenoptera C. DC has been used in the process of cancer cure as a significant traditional medicine. The literatures reported about the active ingredient of Chinese beech leaves are practically few, and so is the chemical composition of Pterocarya stenoptera C. DC. In this work, we take a systematic research about the components in the leaves of Pterocarya stenoptera C. DC by experiments to get the compounds to a further understanding. The chemical components were extracted from the leaves of the Pterocarya stenoptera C.DC by the ethanol(ethyl acetate fractions 95%), and were isolated and purified by the technologies such as column chromatography of silica gel, ODS, Sephadex LH-20, PTLC and TLC.??The structures of compounds were identified on the basis of spectral data analyses and physicochemical properties.?7 compounds were isolated and identified from the ethyl acetate fractions. They are(4R)-4, 5-dihydroxy-3,4-dihydro-1(2H)-naphtha-lenone, myricetin, glochidone, 4-hydroxymethyl-2-methoxyphenol and quer-cetin-3- rhamnoside-2″-gallate.Drynaria forinei(kunze)J.sm is a plant of the family Drynaria,?also known as rhizoma drynariae.The roots of the plant are used for the healing of the bone. Its active ingredients is dihydrogen flavonoids.It has been used for the treatment of many ailments including osteoporosis and fracture. The chemical components extracted from the roots of Drynaria forinei(kunze)J.sm in Methylene chloride by the methanol fractions of 95% ethanol were isolated and purified by column chromatography of silica gel, ODS, Sephadex LH-20 and PTLC.?7 compounds were isolated and identified, they are pruning, eriodictyo, ethyl-5-ethoxy-2-hydroxy-benzoate, cyclotrichosantol, Vitamin E, β-sitosterol, and the new compounds Norcyclotrichosantol...
