Sealing gaskets are important elements in the sealing devices, as the society developed, the use of asbestos products is forbidden, so the research of non-asbestos sealing gaskets has been becoming increasingly a hotpot all over the world. Though some significant achievements have been made through efforts of decades, there are still some gaps between non-asbestos sealing gaskets and asbestos sealing gaskets, and there isn’t a universal method that is used to explore the non-asbestos sealing gaskets, only by a large number of studies can be reached the ideal goal. Therefore, there is great significance for the development of non-asbestos sealing gaskets. In this paper, the following aspects are discussed.Firstly, based on the beater-addition process, the manufacturing process of non-asbestos sealing gaskets is introduced,on the basis of the process, the impact of beating revolutions on material strength and the impact of stirring rate on suspension stability are studied.Secondly, the thickness, the density and the loads which have influence on the compression and resilience are studied,as a result, the optimized thickness, density and the loads are determined.Thirdly, taking the density as evaluation criterion by using response surface method, with the three elements of sulfide as the values, establishing model, finally the optimized density and sulfide solution are confirmed by using the model. In the end, taking the density, compression and resilience as evaluation criterion, uniform experimental method is used to establish the formula of the compositions and performances, the relationship between components and performances is analyzed and predicted by using the regression equations, there is little difference between predicted values and the test values by comparing, so the regression equations can be used to optimize and adjust the formulation.
