With the development of chemical industry, field operators are becoming apart from real processes, which are becoming more and more automatically. And it will be contributed to serious emergency in dealing with the random accident. In order to train the field operators efficiently, it is necessary for the petrochemical industry managers to build up an operating training system, including training the operators’abilities of startup, shutdown and the skills of dealing with the emergency.In this work, the Process Simulation System Platform (PSSP) software was used to develop this program. This simulator developing was based on the design process flow diagrams of aviation kerosene hydrogenation. It includes: build up a suitable mathematic model for aviation kerosene hydrogenation system, an emulated distributed control system, and control value system configuration.Firstly, a suitable mathematic model was built up for the aviation kerosene plant, which includes reaction part, hydrogen recycle part and fractionating tower part. Then, the sequential modeling method was used in this model. The design data is used to debug the model in order to match up the working condition. Second, the emulated distributed control system was configurated. It includes data configuration, flaw chart configuration, communication configuration and standard menu configuration.In conclusion, the mathematic model was valued from model speed and model accuracy. The result shows that, compared with the design data, the relative error of the critical parameters are less than 2%. What is more, startup training time lasts for 2 hrs, which is acceptable for training the aviation kerosene hydrogenation operators.
