Oil pump on offshore platform assume the task of transporting crude oil. which require high reliability and availability. As a key component of oil pump, the quality of operating status and life evaluation of rolling bearing significantly affect the state of oil pump. Therefore, life evaluation of rolling bearing has important research significance. In this paper, the fault variation and life evaluation of rolling bearing in oil pump on offshore platform was studied, a life evaluation method of rolling bearing based on vibration characteristics was proposed and offshore oil pump bench was built, specific contents as follows:(1)A 6312 rolling bearing-pedestal model was established, the rolling bearing model with explicit dynamics and transient kinetic were analyzed to calculate the vibration signals of rolling bearing with spalling failure on outer ring race and analyze the characteristics of vibration signal;(2)Vibration data of rolling bearing in offshore oil pump with fault on outer ring race was studied and the theoretical vibration data was compared with experimental data to verify the correctness of the model, which established the theoretical basis of evaluating rolling bearing life.(3)Rolling bearing with fault on outer ring face through spalling process with dynamic analysis was analyzed to calculate the vibration data with spalling fault increasing and analyze the relationship between vibration amplitude of characteristic frequency and sizes of defect. A life evaluation method of rolling bearing based on vibration characteristics was proposed.(4)The bearing life experimental data of 6312 rolling bearing was studied to carry out different life stages of rolling bearing and simulate an experimental life evaluation curve, which can be used to guide life evaluation of bearing. Variation of vibration amplitude of characteristic frequency with running time and the differences with theoretical life research were analyzed.
