This design is the tail gas absorption device with an annual output of 4000 tons of sulfur plant. The sulfur plant only using the Claus process for sulfur recovery, exceed the standard of sulfide content in the tail gas, does not reach the discharge standard, this design is based on this, design a set of tail gas recovery device adopts Scott process, improve the sulfur recovery rate. The device consists of a reducing section and a specially designed to absorb segments, reduction stage, in the H2 or H2 and CO mixture case by cobalt/molybdenum catalyst will Claus reaction in the tail gas of sulfur compounds all into the H2S. The remaining H2S in the absorption section is composed of absorbent. Recovery device is mainly composed of reheater, reactor, air condenser, the quench tower, absorption tower.The design process includes three parts:namely, the selection of material balance, energy balance, the calculation of main equipment. The calculation process of all manual operations, is relatively complex, is the key and the main part of this thesis. Material balance from the beginning of the combustion furnace of Claus reaction, in order to obtain the basic data for the further design, on the basis of the main equipment recovery device of energy balance. Based on the material balance and the energy of the main equipment, by calculation and selection of the equipment and technology, pipeline design. Draw the workshop layout and process flow diagrams, complete description is given in the tail gas absorption process. At the same time on the issue of safety and environmental protection are discussed.
