As a new special processing technology mainly featuring strong electrical discharging, short electric arc processing technology is gradually being widely used in various super intensiveness, super hardness and other hard-machining conductive material. With high processing efficiency, low energy consumption and less pollution, etc. it is popular for enterprises. Initially, the application of short electric arc machining technology is limited to turning mode. The development of short electric arc milling machines has greatly enriched its range of technology in applications, but its processing quality problems has plagued researchers. By analyzing the mechanisms and work piece surface quality obtained by short arc processing under different factors, the paper reaches the influence rule of molding surface under various factors in which the discharge gap stability exert a considerable influence, so we need to improve the short-arc CNC milling spindle organization and analyze the dynamic characteristics and make optimal design solution. The following is the main content of the work in this thesis:Based on the current short-arc CNC milling machine analysis, the spindle radial swing is too large, leading to instability of the discharge gap. Therefore, the spindle mechanism is improved using dual fulcrum supported on the shaft, and the support span is carried out by theoretical calculation; Choosing the punch cutting fluid structure can prevent overheating of core portion and reduce an electrode on the bottom surface of the secondary discharge quality digital modeling; Using Digital modeling by UG software in order to optimize and analyze it in later period.Through improved spindle system static analysis, including simplified model, meshing, and ultimately get the static stiffness of the spindle. The main reason for the rigidity of the impact were analyzed to obtain the maximum rigidity condition.After obtaining the spindle static rigidity, natural frequency is got by spindle and its components modal analysis; By natural frequency analysis and comparison, the overall modal characteristics matched reasonably come to improving the program. Finally, considering the actual processing of the case to the spindle prestressed modal analysis, natural frequency and the natural frequency at this time is a far cry from the machine, meets the design criteria.Finally, in order to improve material utilization for optimal performance, the optimization design of spindle structure, aimed at reducing the spindle quality, increase spindle static rigidity and natural frequency. In this paper, the spindle and the front overhang span is variable and thus obtain the optimal solution. Spindle optimized in terms of quality and performance, and was improved indeed.
