| The rapid development of the world economy will inevitably bring huge demand for energy, with the decrease in oil and gas resources of land, march to the sea has become an inevitable trend. The drilling platform is the basic facilities for the development of offshore oil and gas resources,is the production and living base. The bad working environment and away from the mainland, people, oil and gas processing equipment is highly concentrated, due to the existances of a large number of flammable and explosive substances and petroleum storage devices, prone to leaking oil and gas, causing a fire. In this paper, according to the CIMC group of independent research and developed a type of 400 feet jackup drilling platform, author used relevant software simulation research platform fire and evacuation process.When platform fire, people can safely evacuate which depends on the available safety egress time is greater than the required safety egress time. If the available safety egress time is greater than the required safety egress time, we can considered that personnel can be safely evacuated, on the other hand is not safe.This article determines the operation hazard area by Dow’s Fire & Explosion Index Hazard based evaluation method for offshore platform fire and explosion hazard areas assessed to determine the risk area, and with a reasonable set of CFX software by fire scenario, get the available safety egress time.With the help of STEPS software, quantitative study of the exit width, quantity, reaction time and other evacuation process factors, and taking a self-elevating jack-up platform as an example, researchers conducted a simulation of evacuation, the computation time required for evacuation by comparing the two key features of the time, verification of offshore platform fire evacuation safety.Finally, briefly discussed the need to further study and improvement issues. |
