High precision flatness is one of the most important quality index of advanced cold-rolled strip, it is very important to develop high-precision sensor, apply proper measuring method and make high-quality shaper meter to improve the shape;The magneto elastic sensor is an important part of shape detecting sector, which is developed on the basis of magneto-elastic effect, namely, it uses the change of permeability to describe the laws of the acting force(elastic stress, residual stress) and output electric signal, it is different from other types of sensor in working principle, structure and application; it has many advantages: high output power, strong anti-interference, strong ability for instantaneous overload, long-term work in harsh environment; therefore, it is used widely to measure and weight in metallurgy, the mining industry and transportation.The structure optimization design of magneto elastic sensor which is used in the shape meter is introduced in this easy, and the static characteristic calibration experiment is done; To be more specific,In order to get the lightest weight of the magneto elastic sensor which is made by cold-rolled silicon steel sheets under the safety working condition, the structure optimization design of the sensor was completed based on ANSYS14.0 platform. Moreover, the influence of the design variables on the volume and the Von Mises stress of the sensor is concluded in this eassy. Then the static calibration experiment is carried out to figure out the main static performance specification of the sensor. Moreover, some experimental analyses and researches of the designed sensor are carried out under the conditions of different pre-load, different load scope and different magnetism frequency. Finally, application result shows that the sensor has the advantages of stronger anti-interference ability, signal stability, high-precision and long service life. The successful application of the sensor realizes the measurement of strip shape in real-time, and lays a solid foundation for shape control.
