At present,the low pressure casting and gravity casting is the most common casting method of Aluminum alloy wheel in China.Low pressure casting because of simple proces shigh yield casting quality is relatively good get more extensive application.However,there till are some Shrinkage defects in aluminum alloy wheel which is made by the low pressure casting.These defects will affect the mechanical properties of the wheel and service life.In order to improve this phennomenon,this article puts forward a new method bases on the traditional low pressure casting:low pressure filling,directional solidification method,and medium pressure feeding in the directional solidification temperature field medium voltage feeding.According to the new process methods,in this paper,the current low pressure casting machine is improved:Holding furnace is moved to the side.A set of medium pressure feeding device is installed under the casting mould.The device can realize the real-time and quantitative feeding of the casting.It can reduce costs and improve production efficiency.In this paper,A356 alloy wheel of low pressure die casting is investigated.the solidification process of the wheel is simulated by Anycasting.The first,to simulate the solidification under different pressure maintaining pressure,observe the shrinkage cavity of wheel under different feeding pressure and analyze the simulation results.The results show that Increasing the feeding pressure is helpful to reduce shrinkage cavity.Then,this paper puts forward a cooling scheme based on the of shrinkage cavity of the wheel under the condition of natural cooling.Then,to analyze the solidification of the wheel under the plain A cooling scheme,improve it and put forward plain B.To compare casting shrinkage cavity,cooling time,and the secondary dendrite arm spacing between the wheel under the condition of natural cooling and the wheel under the condition of plain B.The results show that the cooling process can avoid shrinkage cavity,reduce the solidification time and improve the density of castings.
