The cross-flow fan is an important part of air-conditionin and gas transportation equipment, its performance parameters directly affect the transport efficiency and noise level of the device. Because of its special structure, now its production basically rely on semiautomation equipment and manual operation, as a result they get low production efficiency, high noise, high labor intensity and low production quality. With the improvement of peoples’ living standard and the rapid development of air conditioning industry, the demand for crossflow fan increases, with high quality requirements and diversification, and prevently the production capacity of the market can not meet the requirements. In order to improve the production quality of cross-flow fan and reduce the cost of enterprises, as well meeting the needs of the market, this subject designs a set of automatic ultrasonic welding production line for cross-flow fan. This paper mainly doing a research and design on mechanical system of the production line。Firstly, the article makes an introduction of the special struction of cross-flow fan and its performance parameters, at the same time, it analyse the processes of the automated production, as well makes an analysis on the technical difficulties in the process of realizing its automation.Secondly, according to the technical requirements of cross-flow fan and its production process, the article makes a modular division of the mechanical system of the production line, which be divided into four parts, including original material transport mod-ule, welding material transport module, welding module and unloading module, and discusses the functional requirements and design difficulties of each module. On this basis, the article puts forward two feasible solutions, and through the fuzzy evaluation method, two kinds of schemes are analyzed and compared, at last it selects the best scheme as the design direction.Thirdly, according to the principle of modular design, the article makes a strcture design on the winning proposal, especially solves the technical difficulties of each module. And on this basis, using Solidworks to establish a structural model of each functional module and the whole 3D model.Forthly, this article establishs a finite element model for static and dynamic analysis on the key parts of affecting products’ quality and precision in the automatic welding process, such as plate, semi-finished products supporting shaft, positioning plate, so as to ensure the rationality of the design. Then using Solidworks motion simulation function to make a motion simulation of the mechanical system, to simulate the actual motion situation, from the macro to verify the rationality of the structure design.Debugging prototype test shows that the design of the ultrasonic welding production line completely automate the welding production of tubular blade, filled the gap of the intelligent manufacturing of tubular blade, and changed the original backward and inefficient manual production mode, improve the production quality and efficiency, save the cost and improve the competitiveness of the enterprises. This production line has good application prospect, at the same time, the modular design laid a solid foundation for its transformation and upgrading in the future, and it has a broad social benefit.
