Development Of High-efficiency Automatic Welding Equipment For Cross Flow Fan Impeller

Since cross flow fan impeller is an important part of air-condition, it has huge marketdemand. However almost all of its production operations depend on manpower because of itsspecial construction, as a result they get low production efficiency and low percent of pass buthigh labor intensity. For the sake of improving efficiency and percent of pass, as well asreducing the labor costs, this article studies and develops one kind of high-efficiencyautomatic welding equipment for cross flow fan impeller.First of all, this article has an analysis on the production situation of cross flow fan impeller,so as to decide an overall system for this welding equipment. After comparing theperformances of both AC servo motor and DC servo motor, equipment power actuator isequipped by AC servo motor and its matching drive, meanwhile control circuit of AC servosystem and its supply circuit is designed accordingly. Via sensor, the gap of workpiece can berecognized. CX series PLC of BECKHOFF is its core controller. A control program for thissystem is written to support it; in order to convenient changing this system program andproducing various standard impellers, Siemens touch screen is used as interactive interfaceand some options are designed on this interface.The testing on the spot has proved that the equipment designed on this article achievesautomatic production of cross flow fan impeller with PLC as the core, which reduces the laborcosts and solves the existing problems and deficiency of previous welding equipment forcross flow fan impeller. By such equipment, the overall machining precision and processingquality of cross flow fan impeller have been improved significantly. Enterprises use thisequipment will enhance their competitive ability among peer, what’s more, they can furthestmeet customer demand.
