Large on going mining activities have greatly changed the topography of the area, the type of land use, water, biodiversity, landscape and other ecological factors. Then the ecological structure and function of the original system were been changed after these activities, making correct evaluation of artificial intervention can promote the construction of ecological civilization in mining area, it has important significance of promoting the sustainable development of mining area. In this paper, 5 coal mines of Huainan Panji mining area(Panyi Coal Mine, Paner Coal Mine, Pansan Coal Mine, Panbei Coal Mine, Zhuji Coal Mine) as the study area, analyzed the coal driven use/cover change law and trend of land use for mining area, mining area ecological evolution was studied for many years, the function value of ecosystem services in mining area was estimated, obtained the following conclusions:(1) In Panji mining area of Huainan City after 30 years of mining, at present, the farmland, woodland, water, construction land accounted for 43.96%, 15.99%, 11.01% and 29.04%, the farmland is still the dominant land use types in the study area. The remote sensing interpretation results show that from 1987 to 2014, the main trend of land use types in Panji mining area of Huainan city is the decrease of cultivated land, construction land and water area increased.(2) In Panji mining area biodiversity survey results showed: The plants of higher plants such as arbor and shrub in the study area were few, and the growth of herbaceous plants was the main.Meanwhile, with the increase of the recovery time, the diversity index and species evenness index of Panji mining area, from the large to the small, were: 31 years > 25 years > years > 22 years > 6 years > 4 years. The relative frequency, relative abundance and relative coverage under the exploitation condition were lower than the relative frequency, relative abundance and relative coverage of unopened samplings.(3) A mining area ecosystem service value evaluation model was established, evaluated the Panji mining area of ecosystem service value, and from 1987 to 2014 Panji mining area of ecosystem service value in general showed a trend of growth. Its value increased from 319.83 million in 1987 to 739.95 million in 2014. In2014, the economic value of agricultural, sideline products, fishery products, water conservation, culture and entertainment, provide habitat for biological, biological resources and biodiversity are increased, and the economic value of carbon fixation and oxygen release with the passage of time and showed a decrease trend with fluctuation.
