With the improvement of water quality standards, the cost of the membrane reducing and membrane performance improvement, MBR wastewater treatment technology has been widely concerned. However, high energy consumption expenditure seriously limits its application and development. Today saving energy and reducing consumption become a worldwide science problem, MBR technology wastewater treatment plant energy saving research has great significance.This topic comes from "the key technology research and demonstration project of water environmental improvement for the old transport grain river in Kunming" from "Water pollution control and management of science and technology major projects". With the X WWTP in Kunming(hereinafter referred to as the X WWTP) carrying out the typical MBR technology energy saving technology research.Through one and a half years of field investigation, medium test and production experiments, mastered the energy consumption characteristics of typical 3AMBR wastewater treatment plant, and putted forward the suitable for energy saving plan, and then select the higher water quality energy saving technology retrofit scheme through the experiment, the main conclusions are as follows:①MBR technology WWTP has a high energy consumption which 88.1% is power consumption, 63% of them is used for aeration blower. The single artificial adjusting aeration method results in a volatile of dissolved oxygen in aerobic tank, lead to aerobic aeration tank blower energy waste; Strong continuous aeration is the main reason of the membrane tank energy-intensive.②Set up multiple water access points to save energy. Through set up multiple water access points in the MBR medium plant and X WWTP productive experiment, The results showed that setting up multiple water access points can improving the effect of the denitrification in rear anaerobic tank, and reasonable distribution of carbon source can achieve quality requirements with decrease the aeration. The experiment proved that anaerobic tank anoxic tank and aerobic tank with a ratio 4:4:2 flooding water, it has a best effect.③Mixed liquor backflow of membrane tank to save energy. With the high DO of membrane tank mixed liquor, it`s refluxed liquid can take the place of the aeration for oxygen. Which maintain a good outlet water quality. But it can’t complete replace of aeration tank aeration supply oxygen. There are optimal reflux ratio, when membrane tank to aerobiotic tank, shifty tank to anoxic tank and anoxic tank to anaerobic tank backflow ratio 400%, 400%, 200%, aerobic 1 section aeration stops, it obtain better outlet water quality and less energy consumption.
