Hydrogel, having good biocompatibility, has been widely used in daily life. But the application of the traditional hydrogels is limited to some extent due to the single stimulus response performance and low swelling rate of hydrogels. Composite hydrogel((HO)10Q[5]-PAM,(HO)10Q[5]/CdS/PAM) prepared by cadmium sulfide(CdS)hydroxycucurbit[5]uril((HO)10Q[5]), and polyacrylamide(PAM), have improved the swelling and water retention properties of hydrogel. The main results obtained are as follows:1.(HO)10Q[5]-PAM was prepared by solution polymerization crosslinking method through using acrylamide monomer(AM) and(HO)10Q[5] as the raw material, N, N’-methylene-bisacrylamide(MBA) as the cross-linking agent, potassium persulfate(KPS)as the initiator. The structure and morphology of the hydrogels were characterized by FT-IR, SEM, TG-DTG, XRD, the material skeleton is compact, the structure of holes is obvious and diameter becomes larger compared with PAM hydrogels. The effect of the composite volume, crosslinking agent, temperature, pH and ion concentration on the swelling behaviors of hydrogels had been studied, the hydrogel was researched and found that sensitive with pH and ion concentration. Kinetic analysis was obtained by swelling the gel diffusion behavior in line with non-Fickian mode. Hydrogels have high water-retention properties.2. The removal of gentian violet and methylene blue from aqueous solution by(HO)10Q[5]-PAM was explored by ultraviolet spectrum. The removal rate of gentian violet and methylene blue reached 76% and 72%, respectively, when the composite volume, dosage, dye concentration, temperature, pH and time are 0.010 g, 0.0600 g, 5mg·L-1, 298 K, 6.0 and 120 min. The pH has great influence on the removal rate amongthose factors. The adsorption is consistent with Langmuir and Freundlich isotherm model. Adsorption Kinetic followed pseudo-second-order kinetics model, the calculation of thermodynamic functions indicated that adsorption process was spontaneous and exothermic, was a entropy decrease process.3.(HO)10Q[5]/CdS/PAM was prepared by solution polymerization crosslinking method through using acrylamide monomer(AM), CdS and(HO)10Q[5] as the raw material, N,N’-methylene-bisacrylamide(MBA) as the crosslinker, potassium persulfate(KPS) as the initiator. When CdS was composited with hydrogel which produces decreased fluorescence and the fluorescence quenching effect,It can be used as a fluorescent molecule switch application to clinical medicine, biological sciences and so on.
