Coal and gas outburst is one of the major disasters and hidden dangers in coal mine. Since the first outburst occurred in Isaac mines of France in 1834, coal and gas outburst had occured in the major coal mining countries around the world in different extent. During the work of prevention of coal and gas outburst, in order to avoid the blindness, outburst prevention work must be effective, reliable and prescient. Regional prediction of coal and gas outburst prediction can not only guide the scientific application of outburst prevention measures and reduce the volume of engineering quantity, but also can constantly check for the outburst danger of mining face and guarantee the personal safety of workers. Therefore, regional prediction of coal and gas outburst prediction is of great practical significance.On the basis of collecting and finishing gas geology information and basic parameters of gas in field in Yizhong coal mine, the related influence factor indexes for the regional prediction of coal and gas outburst were analyzed. The isoline of coal seam gas content、maximum principal stress、coefficient of variation of coal seam thickness、bedrock thickness and sand conten rate were made by sufer software. The vagueness of the influencing factors of coal and gas outburst and the incompatibility of the single factor prediction are used, on the basis of the theory of fuzzy matter-element model, the weight of each influence factor index was determined by entropy method and the mathematical prediction model of comprehensive indexes was built. According to the scene of dynamic phenomena, the comprehensive index critical value of regional prediction in Yi Zhong coal mine was put forward and validated, the results show that the comprehensive index of the mathematical prediction model to predict the critical value has a certain accuracy. And the mathematical forecasting model was used to predict the undeveloped 12 mining area.Practice shows that by analyzing the indicators affecting coal and gas, and selecting suitable indicators, conducting comprehensive analysis with mathematical methods, establishing mathematical prediction model for regional prediction have much higher reliability and maneuverability. This provide a reliable idea and method to forecast the dangerous area of coal and gas outburst and is of great significance to reduce the volume of outburst prevention measures, and ensure the personal safety for workers in outburst coal seams.
