Resistance welding equipment is important equipment to achieve the automatic welding in welding field. With the development of the industry and the increasing of the requirement of modern society to the quality of the products, they the put forward higher requirements to performance and technology of resistance welding equipment.Because the power factor and efficiency of existing resistance welding equipment is low,causing it difficult to get a better welding quality,it is of great significance to study the design and its control technology of resistance welding transformer and to improve the performance of welding equipment and ensure the welding quality.Paper first studied the design method of the resistance welding machine equipment of power device— transformer, at the same time, established resistance welding transformer optimization mathematical model,Paper selected the transformer cost as the objective function of resistance welding transformer and applies particle swarm optimization(PSO) algorithm and loop calendar transformer to the optimization design and compiled related optimization program. Operation results show that the optimization algorithm adopted to resistance welding transformer optimization design can reduce the manufacturing cost.Paper also studied control technology of the resistance welding transformer.The control system of resistance welding transformer is consist of main power circuit and control circuit. Paper choose thyristor as the power switch of main circuit;Design the circuit with MCU PIC18F4520 controller as the core control system, and uses the fuzzy control algorithm to achieved constant current control of the welding current. The simulation results show that the fuzzy control method compared with traditional PID method to overshoot of welding current has better control effect,and fuzzy control can improve the welding quality of weldment.
