The stability limit prediction of cutting systems can helps engineering and technical personnel to select the correct cutting parameters, and under the condition of guarantee the quality of machining, the cutting efficiency is significantly improved, in which way the cutting ability of the cutting machines can be fully utilized.Regenerative chatter caused by the chatter regenerative effect is the main form of cutting chatter, and chatter occurred in machining process mostly are regenerative chatter. Starting with the analysis of regenerative chatter stability of the system, the paper focuses on the limit cutting depth Blim changing with the machine tool spindle speed N, and systematically analyzes the main factors that influence the stability of cutting system, which mainly includes the main vibration system dynamics parameters, such as natural frequency co, cutting stiffness coefficient Ks, damping ratio ε, the main vibration system stiffness K and so on. In the paper, effects of each kinetic parameters on the limit cutting depth Blim of turning system were analyzed by software emulation.Aimming at the limit prediction of the stability of turning system, Visual Studio 2008 is used as the development platform, and C# is used as a development tool, a platform is designed to predict the stability limit of turning chatter system. Function realization and methods of use of the platform have been systematically introduced in the text. The platform can display the time-domain signal and frequency domain signal of turnning chatter system, and finally draw a stability lobe diagram predicted the stability limit of turning chatter system.
