This papper reviews the catalysts used in cyanate esters(CE) curing and their reactice mechanism,as well as resin matrix of CE used in high performance random.Our research work mainly included in two aspect.First,we discovered that DBTDL has high catalytic activities for CE curing reaction.The fully cured resin matrix has better thermal stability ,electrical and mechnical properties. Fourier transform infared spectroscopy(FTl R) ,high performance liquid chromotagraphy(HPLC) have been used in mointor the catalyst forming reaction and resin curing reaction, It is thought that one mon DBTDL and two morl CE monomer reacted and form the active catalyst species (H9C4) 2Sn(NCO-R-OCN)2.The knetics of CE cure is a first order reaction.TO the Arocy L-1O,Ea=44.3 KJ/mol,lnA=5.38;to bisphenol A dicyanate resin(BADCy): Ea=55 .2 KJ/mol, I nA=9 .8. In the second aspect,we use styrene modify the BADCy in order to develop a high performance resin matrix used in radoms.Tniangle method has been used to optimize chemometnics.The possible cure reaction mechanism of this modified resin system has been discussed by means of FTIRHPLC ect.Reasonable cure technology has been set up by dealing the cure mechnism with the fractures of viscosity,gelation and the properties of the cured resin.This method has greatly simplified the curing process conpared with other methods.Test resluts has shown that this resin matrix is suitable for RTM,The cured resin has high themal stability(HDT:190?00 0C,) and mechnical properties.Some of the mechnical properties are better than 4503A RIM resin matrix,...
