The addition-hydrolysis reactions of benzimidazolium salt with Grignard reagent were studied in this paper. Novel synthetic methods for aldehyde, methl-ketone. symmetric di-ketone, and ethynyl-ketone were provided. The reaction that benzimidazolium salt was used as tetrehydrofolate coenzyme model at formic acid oxidation level and one-carbon unit was transferred to Grignard reagent was reported. A novel method of biomimetic syntheses for aldehydes was provided. The addition-hydrolysis reaction of 2-substitutied benzimidazolium salt and methyl-Grignard reagent was applied to the synthesis of perfinne methyl- ketones. The reaction of bis-benzimidazoliurn and mono-Grignard reagent was studied. A novel synthetic method for symmetric diketone was provided. Some methods for the synthesis of macrocyclic tetraketone via bis-benzimida.zolium and di-Clrignard reagent were tried. Alkv nyl-ketones were synthesized from benzimidazolium salt with alkynyl- Grignard reagent. A novel method for alkynyl-ketones which were difficult to be synthesized was provided. The mechanism of the addition-hydrolysis reaction and the influence of reaction conditions on the yield were discussed. |
