The treatment of oily-wastewater by carbon membrane with different pore sizes was studied. The effects of trans-membrane differential pressure, concentration of oily-wastewater and feed flux on carbon membrane properties were investigated. The cleaning method was given by comparing the effect of various cleaning agents on the recovery of permeation flux. At the same time, based on the HERMIA modelling, the fouling principle was investigated, studying the effects of trans-membrane differential pressure and concentration of oily-wastewater on it ; decreasing of permeation flux with time was studied, the conclusion that the permeation flux decreased more quickly on the condition of the larger flux and higher trans-membrane differential pressure was drawn. The proportion of all kinds of resistance was computed with the resistance modelling, the main cause that slows the permeation flux was known.
