In this paper, with 2-oxo-propionic acid salicyloyl hydrazone as a ligand, one calcium(II) complex, three copper( II) complexes and thirteen rare earth(RE=La, Ce, Pr, Nd, Sm, Eu. Gd, Tb, Dy, Er, Tin, Yb and Lu) complexes have been synthesized. The crystals of four complexes were obtained, and the crystal structures were determined by single crystal X ray diffraction. One of the crystals is calcium( II) complex, the other are binary and trinary complexes of copper( II).The characters of those complexes are studied by the elemental analysis, IR, UV, Xray analysis. The biologic active experiment of 2-oxo-propionic acid salicyloyl hydrazone and one of copper complexes were carried out, and the result shows that the complex's bacteriostastic ability for phytophthora capsic and alternaria alternaea is excellent and is also better than the ligand's. The four single crystals' structures are determined by single crystal Xray analysis, getting the relational data of crystal structures and their structure and crystal structures are described and analyzed. Calcium( II) complex's structure is seven coordinate's binucleus. Ligand's carboxylic oxygen atom acts as mono chelate connecting two calcium atoms. Copper complex's structures are five coordinate's square taper coordinate structure, one complex is translated by the other, confering this translation's mechanism.Thirteen complexes of rare earth were synthesized under the same condition, finding three kinds constitutions. Pre-Gd complexes' constitutions are identity series, and sith-Gd complexes' constitutions are identity series, but Yb complex's constitutions is special and it includes litmusless ligand. Those complexes' structure are studied on the basis of IR^ UV\ fluorescence analysis and elemental analysis. In addition two complexes of light rare earth and two complexes of heavy rare earth and the complex of Yb were chosed to carry out X-diffraction analysis. Pre-Gd complex's enthalpy of dissolution in DMF solution were determined by MS 80 standard calvet microcalorimeter, and the enthalpy of dissolution shows undee line along with atom number's increasing. Additionally, one of the complexes of copper was studied by Gauss-98 software.
