As an engineering technology, industrial cleaning gives a great impact to industrial process. It not only supplies much efficient technical service to the society, but also becomes a symbol of social civilization. As the rapid development of modern industry, the application field of industrial cleaning booms widely. Dry ice blasting is a newly technology in industrial cleaning field, which emerged in 1980s, it has many merits contracted to traditional process such as high efficiency, safety, no damaging equipment, and no pollution. On the background of development of dry ice blasting, this paper completed a new type dry ice pelletizer. In general, the research work of this paper include:Made a study of dry ice blasting. Applied carbon dioxide to industrial cleaning for the first time in our county.Thermodynamics analysis of dry ice production. Deduced formulas of Liquid_Solid transform rate and chamber pressure for chamber pressure adjustment and setting pressure values in the control system.Structure design of dry ice pelletizer. including analysis of the overall structure and design of the whole machine and its parts besides adoption the structure of feed inlet with 60?angle to gain full atomization of liquid carbon dioxide and the structure of horizontal single hydraulic cylinder to save the space of the system and enhance the mobility.Design of control system. This system bases on S7-200PLC, a SIEMENS product, open-loop control as the control strategy, on-off control as the control mode.
