The synthesis of high- efficient polycarboxyl water reducer was described in this paper. The synthesis process of polycarboxyl water reducer WD-1 includes two steps: (1) Esterification, macro-molecular monomer was synthesized from polyethylene glycol(PEG) and methyl acrylic acid at the acidic conditions ; (2) Copolymerization, water reducer WD-1 was copolymerized from acrylic acid, polypropyl sodium sulfonate and macro-molecular monomer. The optimic molar ratio was: n(polypropyl sodium sulfonate): n (acrylic acid) : n(macro-molecular monomer) = 1.5:4.0:1.6.The water reducer ratio of WD-1 was 35.8% , a little higher than that of WD-2 without polyethelene glycol chains, which was 31.4% . And the water reducer ratio, slump, air content , and compressive strength of poly carboxyl water reducer WD were better than that of naphthalene series water reducer. |
