Heavy oil and the mixture of gas, liquid and solid can be pumped by ESPCP. It hasthe advantage of continuous, stable, not easy sand card and air lock. It is important to theexploitation of heavy oil, gas and sand oil. It has been widely used in oilfield exploitationboth at home and abroad. And it is obtained good development prospect and economicbenefit. In order to adapt reducing speed to the requirement of ESPCP, reducer problembecomes the key to the study of ESPCP. Because the range of transmission ratio for oilsubmerged reducer is affected by the outside diameter of reducer, the calculating of thetransmission ratio which is obtained by predecessors is not completely. Therefore, it is onthe basis of that the function and performance of the submerged reducer is made clear.According to the bad environment and harsh radial size limit when the oil submergedreducer is operating, the methods and tools are provided for the calculation of the range oftransmission ratio by introducing the theory of TRIZ. The range of transmission ratio foroil submerged reducer is calculated by using the theory innovatively.The situation at home and abroad of ESPCP, oil submerged reducer and TRIZ areintroduced at first. Then the function, performance and the structure design of the oilsubmerged reducer are analyzed. According to the substance-field model of TRIZ, thesubstance-field model of oil submerged reducer is established. On the basis of it, theconflict matrix of oil submerged reducer is created by using the computer aided innovationsoftware. The standardization conflict parameters of system are defined. The right principleis found by using the conflict matrix. The transmission ratio value range is calculated bythe principle. The upper limit value of transmission ratio is obtained by the conditions ofthe planetary gear. The lower limit of the transmission ratio is obtained by using thegraphical method. According to analysis and calculation, finally the range of transmissionratio for oil submerged reducer is obtained. The theory of TRIZ is proved feasibility andeffectiveness by the calculation. A new way of thinking is provided by determining thetransmission ratio value range of oil submerged reducer. It is important to theimplementation of the project because of the significance of theoretical guidance.
