A subtle but pervasive understanding of the sociology and economy from designer's point of view lies in the so called double transition of the world: the diffusion of information and communication technologies, and the emergence of environment issues which will certainly shape our society and people's attitude toward their well-being.The argument to design for sustainability in my treatise is trying to seek the new ways to understand and plan sustainable consumption and clean production, as well as providing the context - largely economic, culture, and designing - for the pattern of changing styles led to sustainability. From the vision of innmaterialism, we consider that how consumers needs can be met with a mix of products and services rather than tangible products, and at the same time provide economic and environmental benefits. PS system (Product-Service Systems) as a conscious business strategy of shifting from designing and selling physical products to selling of an integrated mix of products and services jointly capable of fulfilling a client's need does not lead necessarily to sustainable solutions, but has the potential to do so. When a PS system assists re-orient current unsustainable trends in production and in consumption practices it can be referred to as an eco-efficient PS system.
