The main works of the thesis are as follows:1. The development of the chiral stationary and the application of the cellulose derivatives as chiral stationary phases in high-performance liquid chromatography were reviewed. The separation mechanism based on the chiral stationary phase was discussed.2. Octadecylsilica packing was synthesized. The column C18 was prepared. Comparing its chromatographic characterization with commercial C18 packing and commercial column C18, it gave a good retention behavior and stability. Some separation on column C18 with P-cyclodextrin and derivatives as mobile phase additives were also carried out.3. Cellulose tribezoate (CTB) and cellulose triphenylcarbamate (CTPC) were synthesized. Elemental analysis and IR spectrum indicated that most of the hydroxy groups of the microcrystallin cellulose had been converted into ester groups. A lot of experimental results expressed that if the silica gels was treated with excessive (3-aminopropyl) triethoxysilane were coated with 15% of CTB (or CTPC) by the method of evaporation, column CTB and column CTPC obtained the best column efficiency and chiral resolution power. When P-cyclodextrin and derivatives were used as mobile phase additives, Column CTB and column CTPC for separation of enantiomer possessed a new synergistic effect-two-phase synergistic effects. From the principle of supramolecular chemistry, we assume that the effect based on the supramolecular action of chiral stationary phase and chiral mobile phase additive.4. The synergistic effects of mixed cellulose derivatives stationary phases were studied.
