Three-Phase DC Spot-welding has been paid more and more attention to by welding world because of its obvious advantages. However, there are some technical problems of control method and time series in the control systems of the welding machines made in our country and other countries, especially our country. And so the reliability and stability of the welding machine are influenced.A control system with two-CPU of 3-Phase DC spot welding machine is designed due to the reasons mentioned upside. The mathematical model is established to control the major power supply. Besides the front and rear circuit, the control circuit that is based on 89C52 single chip microcomputer is developed. Six interrupt sources are arranged in order successfully by a component 8259A and other components expanding in the circuit. In the program, a step of I% is 0.25% and a step of a is 0.384? Therefore the control precision compared with AC spot welding machine improved obviously. The optical coupling, software redundancy technique, setting trap and so on are used to prevent system being disturbed.The hardware and software developed are tested, and results show that the function of controller and the major technical indicator have attained the requirement of design basically, and can be used to control the 3-Phase DC spot welding efficiently.
