In view of some problems that exist in gas well production optimization and design, after analyzing the conventional methods of peroration plan of single gas well or reservoir (e.g., let production rate be 20 - 30% of Absolute Open Flow, or be the intersection value of inflow and outflow performance curve), we introduce a production time dynamic term into the peroration method, thereby changing the previous static models into a dynamic production optimization and design one. The practical application of the dynamic method shows that the research is of following functions and characteristics:1. A relationship between gas reservoir pressure and stable production time can be obtained by means of material balance technique. According this relationship, we can predict the change of inflow performance relationship curve with time.2. A united dynamic mathematical model is established to describe the flow of gas from the reservoir to well bore and surface. The model can quantitatively reflect the relation among well numbers, stable production time. Well bore technology parameters and surface operation system.3. The paper develops a treatment method to multi-restriction units in gas flow by analyzing the calculation method of restriction units in gas flow.4. The paper develops a solution technique of optimization problem with implicit function by anal sizing the gas dynamic model.5. According to the treatment and contrast analysis of actual data of six wells, it is shown that the method presented in the paper is reliable. Practicable and popularized.The optimization mathematical model presented in the paper is applicable to volumetric gas reservoirs. In addition, it can be adapted to such gas reservoirs as ones with small aquifer. The process and thoughts in establishing the model are valuable to condensate gasreservoir and water invasion gas reservoir.
