The emergence and development of composite material is not only a consequence of continuous progress of modern science and technology, but also a breakthrough in the field of material designing. As the fibers of common textile reinforced material most in use, the high modulus materials, such as glass fibers, carbon fibers and aromatic copolyester fibers, because of their excellent properties, are broadly used in the fields of aircraft and space, transportation, medical apparatus and instruments, precision instruments, textile machines, superior durable sports goods as well.Compared with traditional textile materials, these fibers are more stiff and brittle, with high stiffness, low cohesion, high elasticity and low elongation, low tenacity and low joint strength. Especially in the terms of CF/GF filament yarns, as a result of their poor resistance , shear-cut property, crooked and winded property, it is very difficult to weave successfully in weaving process.In order to better CF/GF filament yarns properties to weave smoothly, sizing is necessary. CF/GF are hydrophilic fibers, with smooth surface, and filament yams are relatively scattered, so the sizing finish is different from other fibers. In our tests, GMB, alkyi-bis-imidazoline cation-X, and bisphenol A epoxy resin are chosen as the main sizing agents according to CF/GF respective characteristics. The optimum sizing formulas after analyzing the sizing formulas and test results. In the light of the problems in weaving progress, especially to the main ones, some improved measurements are proposed.
