Limestone - Gypsum Wet Flue Gas Desulfurization Limestone Activity In Experimental Research

At a fixed pH value, a series of experiments were carried out by titration with sulfuric acid to investigate the factors affecting the limestone solution. The results indicate that a lower pH value is favorable for the limestone solution which increases 8% when pH decrease 0.5. And the samller particle size the gain has the higher the solution rate is, especially when the particle size decreases from 200 mesh to 260 mesh. The added halogens, inorganic salt and organic acid have greatly effect on the limestone solution, the ions Al3+ and F- added synchronously, even if volume is little, hinder the solution extremely. It is obvious that Na+ has a favorable effect on the solution while Cl- is reversed, especially when pH value is high. Also magnesia and organic acid, such as adipic acid formic acid and DBA promote the limestone solution extremely.Under the same conditions, the similar results are obtained when titrat sulfuric acid and limestone synchronously in a laboratory batch apparatus.
