On the basis of consulting a large number of documents, it has been summarized concerning the leaking models of common dangerous sources and the relative models of consequent fire, explosion and toxicosis after leaking during industrial production, transportation and reservation. The assessment system for leaking consequences of common industrial dangerous sources is set up by the Visual Basic 6.0 advanced programming language. The System is composed of leaking calculating module, before hand accident simulating module, follow-accident spot assessing module, common dangerous chemicals' database module. The system was used to set up a simulation of calculating the consequences of industrial hazardous accidents such as natural gas vapor explosion accident, person intoxication accident by ammonia liquid diffusion, pool fire accident, river pollution accident by sodium cyanide, etc. It was showed in practice that the system is steady, reliable, easy-handling and effective with a wide range of application. Moreover it has the potential to serve as a valuable reference for safety assessing as well as the teaching and research of safety engineering in the future.
