The nanometer powder of CoFe2O4 with spinal structure was prepared by a sol-gel method and a followed heat process. Under ultrasonic condition, non-ion-type surface-active reagents were added in colloidal sol formed by metal ion and citric acid , and the CoFe2O4 with spinal structure was obtained from the following heat process. The final product has been characterized by LDPSA(Laser Diffraction Particles Size Analysis) , XRD, TEM, and VSM methods, through which the good dispersing sphere particles with the average diameter of approximately 50-60nm were observed, and the crystal was pure CoFe2O4 with spinal structure. The coercive force and saturated magnetization were 78 kA.m-1 and 72 kA.m-1 respectively. The experiment process is simple for preparing nanometer powder.Three types of nano-powder of cobalt ferrite oxide were prepared by sol-gel method, two of them being doped with LaCl3.nH2O. The samples have been characterized by XRD, through which the observed powder is of approximately 50-60nm in the average diameter, and the crystals are all of spinal structure. These nano-powders have been used for doping into polymer electrolyte peg-20000, respectively. The composites were analyzed by IR spectra. The results show the interaction between the nano-powder and peg-20000. Electrochemistry analysisshows that the electric conductivity can reach 0.686 S.m-1 in order of magnitude for polymer electrolyte peg-20000 doped with nanometer spinal cobalt ferrite oxide, being several dozen times of the general ionic polymer electrolyte.
